SYNTHESIS is the leader in the field of social entrepreneurship and social innovation in Cyprus. It was the first organisation in the country that has worked to promote the field of social entrepreneurship, organising European conferences and training events since 2010.
In 2015, SYNTHESIS founded "Hub Nicosia,” the first hub of social impact in the country. Hub Nicosia is a social innvoation lab and a coworking, space for organisations with cultural, environmental or social aims.
In 2017 SYNTHESIS developed the policy document on developing the social enterprise ecosystem in Cyprus on behalf of the European Commission and the Government of Cyprus. The study has formed the basis of the National Action Plan which was adopted by the Council of Ministers in 2018. Between 2019-2023, SYNTHESIS was contracted to implement a number of studies in the field of social innovation, social entrepreneurship and social economy on behalf of the European Commission.
Today, SYNTHESIS is driving efforts in establishing a thriving ecosystem of social enterprises which address Cyprus' social needs and unique characteristics.
