SEEDS: SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP EMPOWERING DEVELOPMENT IN PRESCHOOLS

SEEDS is a European project funded by the European fund Erasmus+. The main goal of the project is to develop pedagogical methods for preschool education, to support early learning of relevant skills like entrepreneurial mindsets, digital media and to insure social inclusion of all children in this learning. SEEDS aims to equip children from an early age, with the seeds for the development of an entrepreneurial compass in interplay with digital media. This compass starts from the individual as a citizen and builds on their particular skills and competences to enhance the four points of the compass; critical reflection, collaboration, co-creation and agency. The project is coordinated by Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V., Germany, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, Denmark, Italy, Austria and North Macedonia.

D-LEARNING: DESIGN THINKING AS A MEANS TO INNOVATIVE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT IN ADULT LEARNING

The D-LEARNING project aims primarily To raise awareness on the Design Thinking methodology, which provides a solution-based approach to solving problems, by understanding the human needs involved, re-framing the problem in human centric ways, creating ideas in brainstorming sessions and adopting a hands-on approach in prototyping and testing in a five-step ideation process. It also aims to transfer and adapt the approach of Design Thinking in the needs of adult learning institutions. 


The project is coordinated by Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V., Germany, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, Denmark, Italy, Austria and North Macedonia.

WORK-VR: PILOTING VIRTUAL REALITY FOR LANGUAGE IN THE CONTEXT OF EMPLOYABILITY

Work-VR uses an online e-training platform for imparting work-related language and culture skills, coupled with an immersive Virtual Reality. WORK-VR primarily aims to better equip the users for the labor market through an increased level of linguistic, cultural and digital knowledge; to provide VET students with an innovative learning method; and to support and enhance the learning of trade-specific vocabularies within the sectors of health, service and construction. Work-VR is funded by European Commission under the Erasmus+ programme (2018-2020). The project is coordinated by Videnscenter for Integration, Denmark, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, France, Italy and Germany.

SKILLDISPLAY - SHOW WHAT YOU CAN DO!

The SKILLDISPLAY is implementing and improving the SkillDisplay platform structured in five intellectual output segments, each covering an aspect of the development process or underlying research.

The SkillDisplay project is produces intellectual outputs involving one or more of our partners, each contributing their specific competences to the final product. The SkillDisplay project is supported to enrich functionalities, create use cases and review them together with partners over the course of an Erasmus+ action (2018-2020).

The project is coordinated by Business Angels - Verein zur Förderung von Projekten in der Berufsausbildung, Austria, and brings together organizations and institutions from Cyprus, Germany, and Romania.

TESEO - Arianna's strands in the digital age

TESEO is an Erasmus+ Higher Education project, running from October 2019 to September 2021. The project focuses on the development of a new training curriculum that can update and develop materials and educational tools in line with the labor market and which can offer a new awareness of Europe's cultural heritage and digital skills. The project also aims to create a digital platform with multilinear educational pathways, ranging from e-learning to gaming, capable of customizing teaching procedures and offering informal learning tools with perfect scalability. The project is coordinated by the University of Salerno, Italy, and brings together organizations and institutions from Cyprus, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and France.

What2DoIf: Effective guidance for successful integration of foreign communities through language acquisition

The WHAT2DoIf project aims to help newly-arrived foreigners, migrants and refugees to get oriented in the host-country economic, education, social and other systems, thus preventing their social exclusion or heavy dependency on their ethnic community. Migrants will improve their knowledge of the thematic areas selected by the consortium regarding the local system in partners’ countries. In addition, migrants will be provided with a useful glossary and video tutorials that will support their communication and interaction in the local language. Last but not least, migrants will be more confident in how to find solutions for specific problems they might face while trying to organize their life in a new country. The project is coordinated by The European Center for Quality, Bulgaria, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Italy and the UK.

GREEN S.E.E.D.S. - Supporting individuals in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competences

The GREEN S.E.E.D.S. project focuses on the risk that the geographical isolation of schools in the mountain and smaller islands may lead to their cultural isolation, mining the youngest’s correct knowledge, understanding, and participation to the globalized and constantly interconnected world of today. GREEN S.E.E.D.S. aims to break the isolation of decentralized schools, allowing dialogue between pupils who, although geographically distant, share similar socio-environmental realities. The project is coordinated by Glocal Factory, Italy, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, Croatia, Spain and Greece.

X-Cape: Breakout Challenges for Developing Transversal Skills

The X-Cape: Breakout Challenge project aims to promote creative and critical thinking through the development of alternative pedagogical resources using digital breakouts based on constructivist learning theory. It also aims to encourage the development of creative and critical thinking skills in VET environments where non-formal and informal learning can flourish. Another goal is to support front-line VET tutors to harness the potential of mobile learning environments to build high-value skillsets within their marginalized target groups. Finally, it aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among young Europeans ensuring that they have the necessary skills to research, select, analyze, organize and present information. The project is coordinated by RRIS, Iceland, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, Bulgaria, Ireland, Portugal and Finland.

The V-Pal Project: Video-based peer practice among language teachers

The V-PAL project (Video-based peer practice among language teachers) aims to provide a platform and know-how for language teachers in adult education to produce, share and peer-review hand-held videos of their own teaching practices as a method for strengthening their teaching skills. The developed V-PAL Platform offers a possibility to share didactical reflections and inspiration in language teaching practice. The project is led by Vifin, Denmark with partners from Cyprus, Germany, and Spain.

MESI: Migrant Entrepreneurship for Social Inclusion

The MESI project aims to develop a training curriculum and an e-course specifically designed to tackle the educational and training needs of migrants by equipping adult education professionals, trainers and professionals with the tools needed for engaging migrants in entrepreneurial initiatives as well as increasing their participation in such activities. The curriculum is expected to increase the participation of migrants in the socio-economic life and involvement of migrants in educational programmes. The project is coordinated by Krinova Incubator, Sweden, and brings together organisations from Cyprus, Denmark, Italy and Germany.

BizMiz – Next Generation Women Technology Entrepreneurs

The project aims to facilitate the access of women to the technology sector and provide the tools for them to become successful technology entrepreneurs. BizMiz focuses on the development of bespoke entrepreneurship training resources and on the development of a safe and supportive online educational environment where women technology entrepreneurs can congregate; develop their business ideas; engage with like-minded individuals; and push through the ‘glass ceiling’ that pertains in the modern economy. The project brings together partners from Ireland, Cyprus, Malta, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Portugal and the UK. It is co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union for the period 2018-2020.

NEUROGUIDE: Building Key Competences Through Challenge based Learning

NEURO-GUIDE is an Erasmus+ funded project, running from September 2018 to October 2020. The idea behind the project is to provide marginalized young people a chance to catch up witch fast evolving world of technology. The NEURO-GUIDE project focuses on disadvantaged students: those from low socioeconomic backgrounds, or with disabilities, or living in remote areas. It will develop and use online escape room challenges to encourage the development of creative and critical thinking skills, as well as skills to research, select, analyse, organize and present information.

Hub Nicosia is one of our most successful stories. It is a coworking and educational space. It is also a community of individuals, organisations and enterprises with cultural, environmental or social aims. It offers desks, offices, seminar and meeting rooms and an inspiring environment to work and thrive in. Hub Nicosia is a member of the European Creative Hubs Network.

PandPAS - Pre and Post Arrival Schemes to facilitate inclusion and prevent xenophobia and radicalization

The project aims to promote inclusion and prevent xenophobia and radicalization. It focuses on post-arrival support for the integration of people who require international protection while at the same implements a comprehensive Local Action Programme for the inclusion and the active participation of refugees in the hosting territories. The project brings together partners from Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal and Cyprus. It is co-funded by the European Union's Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) for the period 2017 - 2019.

MEDICE - Migrant Women as Healthcare Mentors

This Erasmus+ project aims to facilitate the access of migrant women and their children to the healthcare services in five European countries by developing innovative language learning tools related to healthcare issues. The two-year project brings together organisations from Iceland, Czech Republic, Poland, Cyprus, and the United Kingdom.

You(th) Stand UP!

You(th) Stand UP! is youth-oriented project aiming at improving the work quality of youth workers and increasing their social inclusion, especially for those living in disadvantaged socioeconomic situations. The project will produce outputs that train and evaluate non-formal skills developed by youth for the youth.

The partnership consists of organisations from Italy, Greece, Belgium and Cyprus. It is funded by the Erasmus+ programme for the period December 2017 - November 2019.

EVA - A European Entrepreneurship VET Model and Assessment Framework for Ethnic Minorities

The purpose of EVA (A European Entrepreneurship VET Model and Assessment Framework for Ethnic Minorities) is to develop tools for assessing and developing competencies of refugees and immigrants who want to be entrepreneurs. The partnership consists of organisations from Cyprus, Italy, Germany, Malta and Denmark. .It is funded by the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2016-2018.

ERFAL - Exchange of practices for disadvantaged people

The project aims to establish a thematic network at European level in order to share experience on different topics in the area of integration of disadvantaged people. The project is developing a collection of good practices dealing with the integration of migrants, disabled people, NEETs and elderly in order to provide successful models for raising their skills and supporting their economic and social integration. The partnership brings together organisations from Bulgaria, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey, United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Cyprus. It is funded under the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2017-2019.

First Aid Language Kit for Migrants

Language barriers can have extremely negative effects on health because people who face linguistic barriers are less likely to search medical help, follow medical advice, go to follow-up appointments or receive preventive services. The main project outcome (First Aid Language Kit) will provide migrants with country-specific information on the healthcare systems as well as language skills for successfully seeking and receiving medical help in host as well as migrant languages. The partnership brings together organisations from Bulgaria, Spain, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Turkey and Cyprus.It is funded under the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2017-2019.

RESET - Pedagogy for Workforce Transition

The RESET aims to realise the potential of older workers and of adult education providers by developing a comprehensive suite of bespoke curricula and learning resources to develop the skills of older workers as social researchers and to support them in developing their new business models, and also an in-service training programme to support adult educators delivering the new curriculum resources. The partnership brings together organisations from France, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Romania and Cyprus. It is funded under the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2017-2019.
